From Flex-R to Finish
Whether the roof is large or small it is still important to use the right materials, installed by a professional flat roofing contractor.
Here is an everyday project that we passed on to one of our approved roofing contractors and the story from start to finish.
We received an enquiry at Flex-R for a 160 m² flat roof on a domestic property in Northern Scotland. The owner, an engineer, did a lot of homework to find a product that he would be happy to use on his flat roof which for a residential property is quite large, he studied the RubberBond FleeceBack website thoroughly and decided that this was the product he wanted to use that would withstand the harsh weather in north east Scotland but needed an approved contractor who could do the job properly.
We passed the enquiry onto our approved RubberBond FleeceBack EPDM flat roof contractor J.A Widdrington Roofing & Joinery, in Aberdeenshire.
After the customer viewed the contractors’ website www.morayroofing.co.uk and receiving a detailed quotation for the work including a warm roof construction of vapour control layer, glass tissue faced insulation board and the RubberBond FleeceBack EPDM roofing system, the work commenced.
The weather was a factor in getting the job completed but the customer, who by his own admission is fussy about the quality of workmanship, was delighted with the results.
